It's 8:15 and I'm waiting a couple of hours to see if things dry out enough to mow the lawn before leaving for Lafayette. The sun is out right now and it's not predicted to rain again until this afternoon.
The good - With Cannonsville spilling most of the silt should be flushed out of the upper WB.
The bad - We will not be able to fish during what has always been the peak of the fishing season. A flood of this magnitude when this year's fry are just starting to hatch, coupled with last falls drought does not bode well for the 2025 year class of fish.
Watch the USGS water flows, the water levels are not currently safe for even experienced boaters. Wading will be out of the question for days. Be sensible and safe.
Angler119, Brian – Your right it’s very dangerous. People, don’t take a chance. Lots of fishing left. Ed
Stay safe out there. There’s a scary amount of water coming into the reservoir via Walton(and over the dam), and more rain is hitting the area tomorrow PM all the way through Friday. It’s deadly on the river right now, boat or wade.
