One tip that anglers often hear to help with spotting bonefish is to ‘look for their shadows’. If you haven’t seen bonefish over a light-colored bottom before, the claim that you can sometimes ‘see their shadows better than you can see the fish’ might seem like a load of hooey.
We just thought this very cool Louis Cahill photo illustrated the point perfectly – that shadow really pops.
