Clean-up at Hancock Fireman’s Park with the Round Square Students

Posted on September 02 2016

On September 1, 100 students attending a Round Square Conference at Camp Starlight participated in a Community Service Day in Hancock. The students worked with the following local organizations to help clean up areas in the village; FUDR, The Hancock Community Education Foundation, Hancock Partners, and the Hancock Historical Society. The students painted at the Preschool, stained tables and trimmed trees at the Nature Center, Planted flowers at the municipal parking lot, weeded flower beds at the Town Square, raked and painted the Historical Society property, moved items for the After School Program and cleaned up the River access at Fireman’s Park in Hancock. The support was a tremendous help for our community and local organizations and we are all very thankful to have interacted with such a wonderful group of students. Round Square is an international consortium of schools.
