From Croakies:
Croakies®, the manufacturer of industry-leading outdoor retention products, is excited to announce the launch of its most advanced product line to date in 2017, including the transition towards recycled polyester webbing for its belt, dog collar & leash, and guitar strap product lines.
Over the past 40 years, Croakies has built a reputation of delivering best-in-class sublimated prints across a wide range of unique styles and products. Through comprehensive product testing, Croakies is excited to evolve its belt, dog collar & leash, and guitar strap product lines to exclusively include webbing made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
“The goal in revisiting the development of our webbing collections was to see how we could go about offering the same expected quality and graphics execution, but do so on products sourced from trash,” explains Chris McCullough, Croakies VP of Marketing. “I’m really proud of our team for delivering on the goal of expanding our use of recycled materials, while offering our dealers and consumers a better product, sourced more sustainably, with the same industry-leading attention to detail and graphics quality we’ve always exhibited.”
As one of the #DontFeedTheLandfills Founding Pledge Partners, Croakies’ expanded use of recycled materials further exemplifies the brand’s focus on exhibiting more sustainable manufacturing practices. The number of recycled bottles used to make each Croakies product varies throughout the line. Jam Session guitar straps utilize 10 recycled plastic bottles per strap, versus the five recycled bottles required to make one Artisan 1 belt. Based on prior year sales trends for its webbing-based product categories, the evolution towards Recycled Poly has the potential for Croakies to create a new end-of-life solution for in excess of 250,000 recycled plastic bottles through the end of 2017.
New Recycled Polyester webbing will be featured across the breadth of Croakies’ belt, dog collar & leash, and guitar strap collections.
Croakies new Recycled Poly belt, dog collar & leash, and guitar strap collections will be introduced to the industry at the 2017 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market trade show (Croakies Booth: 24027) in January and available for sale through select retailers and through croakies.com in early spring 2017.
