Severe flooding and long-term bank erosion have taken their toll on a Pennsylvania stream once fished by Ted Williams, Teddy Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Grover Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison. Now the local township is giving the once-famous stream its due, restoring banks and aiming to revive it as a classic trout stream. “More homes and businesses have placed added pressure on the historic stream. While it was once a lazy tributary of the Delaware River, the Brodhead is now Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, and Stroud Township’s collective rain gutter.” Chris Reber in the Pocono Record.
