FUDR One Bug Celebration Rescheduled to October 2,3, & 4 2020

Posted on March 18 2020

As we work to respond to the daily changes in the spread of the Covid-19 Virus and the impact it is having on our organizational operations, the FUDR Board of Directors has decided to reschedule the 13th Annual One Bug celebration, originally scheduled for May 1-3, 2020, and to hold the event on October 2,3, & 4, 2020.

This decision was made in consultation with our local government and business leaders in the Hancock area and other communities of the Upper Delaware watershed that are closely involved in the One Bug event. We believe our decision is consistent with the recommendations, guidelines and directives from public health experts and our elected government officials.  We must rely on those who are closely monitoring the rapidly changing developments in the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

We are all hopeful that the virus will be controlled by the fall of 2020, but we must remain vigilant in monitoring its spread and we remain fully prepared to make additional changes in scheduling when necessary.

The postponement of the One Bug is inconvenient to us all – to the participants, to the community, to the guides and to FUDR. But, the trajectory of the pandemic is too rapid, too unpredictable and too dangerous for FUDR to avoid this decision.  The safety of our watershed communities and event participants comes before anything.

Please mark your calendars for the new date!
