For five days in the middle of October 1986, Jim Fergus spoke with noted author and fly fisher Jim Harrison.  Despite the threatening sign in the driveway of his Michigan farm, Fergus found Harrison to be “intensely voluble and cheerful”—and honest, about everything from professional acceptance, to childhood and memory; didacticism in literature, and why rivers always call him home to dance.
