As Tommy Braswell reported in the Charleston Post & Courier this morning, the International Game Fish Association will add an All-Tackle Length record category to its world records section beginning January 1, 2011. It will make 60 freshwater and 67 saltwater species eligible for new records when measured using the IGFA’s certified measuring device.
The best news about this? It requires the fish to be returned alive to the water.
