In the absence of a trade show, Angling Trade pivots with gear launch site

It will be trade and consumer-facing. Credible, honest reviews. Your best platform for launching something new (or promoting an old standard).

Since there’s no IFTD show this year, there’s also going to be no IFTD print issue of Angling Trade.  We don’t want to hold anyone to their I/Os if they are not comfortable, but if you’re in a position and want to utilize that money for both speaking to the industry and targeting a huge consumer audience in late summer to fall we’d love to chat.

Basically we’ll be creating a mini-site within the Angling Trade framework just for gear. This will be segregated into categories and shared with the Trout Unlimited audience (330K members and supporters, >125K Facebook followers…) as well. We will also create a series of E-Newsletters starting at the end of August and running through October promoting your newest gear—much like what we did in the spring.  There will be an editorial space dedicated to whatever you want, an additional ad banner or skyscraper to reinforce your message with said newsletter, inclusion on the mini-site and of course the visibility over at Trout Unlimited too. Not to mention reinforcement of your message on our regular E-Newsletters with links back to the “mini-gear” site.

Here’s the gist, but we can put together a plan tailored just for your business:


* AT will be building a mini-gear site, category specific within the www.anglingtrade.com framework and promoting that via our site, regular newsletters, Facebook, Instagram and via Trout Unlimited.

* AT will produce SIX gear specific E-Newsletters led by two industry news spots and followed by FIVE paid gear spots. These can literally be anything you’d like. Pricing and dates below.

* Just 30 spots total will be sold.  For reference we typically have over 50 IFTD advertisers—so please act ASAP.

* Info will be repackage and given to TU.org for their website and E-Newsletters.

#3 editorial chunk (paid) – $1950 – gets you editorial spot, inclusion on TU’s media and a banner or skyscraper on said AT newsletter, plus a inclusion into the “Gear Roundup” in regular E-Newsletters

#4 editorial chunk (paid) – $1750 – gets you editorial spot, inclusion on TU’s media and a banner or skyscraper on said AT newsletter, plus a inclusion into the “Gear Roundup” in regular E-Newsletters

#5 editorial chunk (paid) – $1500 – gets you editorial spot, inclusion on TU’s media and a banner or skyscraper on said AT newsletter

#6 editorial chunk (paid) – $750 – gets you editorial spot, inclusion on TU’s media and a banner or skyscraper on said  AT newsletter

#7 editorial chunk  (paid)- $550 – gets you editorial spot, inclusion on TU’s media and a banner or skyscraper on said AT newsletter
