All Mako Reels are designed to insure almost zero maintenance. The drags are lifetime-sealed via a proprietary carbon impregnated Teflon lip. Every reel is individually bench-tested for performance and quality.
Each of the following reel models embody all of the features pioneered by Jack Charlton’s “Signature Series.” Features include a double-sided full contact carbon fiber multi disk drag system, full hydraulic sealing, Type III anodizing, a 3″ drag knob that produces zero to full drag in one full turn, quick-change spools, multiple spool choices, and precise and repeatable drag adjustments within a fraction of a pound with an internal device that re-adjusts to factory drag standards forever .
