When we spoke to Sage rod designer Jerry Siem at the IFTD show in Denver, he was pretty proud of the advances in their new light, high-end TXL-F series. Having fished the three-weight pretty hard for a few days before the show, we can say he has a right to be excited — it was the one of the lightest, most sensitive rods we’ve cast.
In the new MidCurrent Gear Guide, we describe both the new TXL-F and the “redesigned” VXP series (really a new rod design altogether).
