No Pebble… So Close Now!
Today, the EPA published their findings on the impacts a mine such as Pebble would have on the region and their point was pretty clear.
“Extensive scientific study has given us ample reason to believe that the Pebble Mine would likely have significant and irreversible negative impacts on the Bristol Bay watershed and its abundant salmon fisheries.” –EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy
There are still several pieces to this review process, including public involvement, so we can’t relent but today was a big day, a giant step towards victory.
