Some trout waters of North Carolina are at risk due to a recent move by the state to remove the “wilderness study area” designation for the Harper Creek and Lost Cove areas of the Pisgah National Forest. The public comment period has been extended to February 27th, and comments and concerns can be addressed to NCPlanRevision@fs.fed.us.
