Yum.
One of the most popular drinks at the Slack Tide Bar at Andros South is a Bahamas classic – the rum and tonic.
If you’re new to the Bahamas, the combination might sound a little strange, but think about it– it’s a Caribbean nation so that means there’s rum around, and it’s a former British colony so that means there’s tonic around.
The recipe is pretty simple.
- Place ice in glass
- Squeeze a couple of lime slices in said glass
- Add dark rum (or anejo rum, but never light rum)
- Add tonic
- Raise your glass to the giant bonefish you landed today
