While at IFTD last month I mentioned to Kara Armano of Backbone Media that I had a soft spot for clicker reels and would like to review with one of the Sage Click reels if possible. Kara said she would see what she could do.
Kara came through and a box arrived late last week which contained a Sage Click IV to play with over the next couple trout trips.
The Click fly reel has what I'd consider a bit atypical drag since it is not internal like most clicker fly reels and instead the clicker touches against the teeth on the large arbor spool to slow it down.
Look for a T.F.M. review as I get some time with the Click IV on the water this fall.
Now to decide which glass fly rod to put it on...
