Noticing problems with the output of a local treatment plant into the Rogue River, the Rogue Fly Fishers were quick to act. And with the help of the Southern Oregon Fly Fishers, Klamath Country Casters, as well as the Oregon Council of the International Federation of Fly Fishers and the International Fly Fishers, they commissioned Rick Hafele to assess environmental impacts, with results that proved to be in violation of laws and limits. Currently, the research study has been filed with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality Complaint Department.
