Now that colder weather has finally began to creep in, anglers across the country are able to begin putting Simms Fall 2020 collection to work. The Fall line that launched this summer includes cold/wet weather gear across all categories, but one of the standouts is the first ever technical rainsuit designed specifically for women – the Women’s Simms Challenger Jacket and Bib. Powered by waterproof/breathable Toray fabric, the suit delivers comfort and technical performance to meet angler demands in all conditions. In addition, traveling anglers have an entirely new system to transport their gear for weekend getaways, or for multi-week exploratory missions in the all new Gear Transport System (GTS). The GTS Roller serves as the hub but the collection comes equipped with packing cubes, the GTS Vault, and duffels as well.
With a successful Fall 2020 launch in the rear-view, Simms now anxiously prepares and awaits the launch of Spring 2021 which includes the launch of the all new Flyweight Collection (available March 2021). Designed for the high output angler, the lightweight, breathable Flyweight Stockingfoot Wader leads the collection. Utilizing three different GORE-TEX fabrics, the Flyweight wader offers both mobility and comfort for long days on the water. Finally, one of the coolest features is the 5.11 hex grid panel on the chest. In short, this is a multi-angle, load bearing platform that allows the angler to attach a variety of Flyweight accessories and pods to the chest area to create a highly customizable system.
