Simms G3 Guide Pant Review

Posted on March 11 2010

Comfy!
Comfy!

We like waist-high waders.

There are plenty of situations in the world of angling where chest-high waders are overkill.  If you’re fishing out of a driftboat or wading a shallow stream, you’re probably never going to wade in water deeper than your waist.

Compared to chest waders, pant-length waders are

  • cooler (temperature-wise, we mean),
  • more comfortable,
  • easier to get in and out of, and of course
  • much more conducive to potty breaks.

Simms has resurrected the wading pant this year with their G3 Guide Pant.  In addition to the benefits listed above, the G3 Guide Pant adds great durability, handy pockets, and a zippered fly to make ‘access’ even easier.

Here’s our somewhat stilted, rushed video review – look, fishing was awesome in Chile that day and I really wanted to get back out on the water!
