STOCKTON, Calif. (September 10, 2009) – StreamWorks Products Group, Inc. (SPG), renowned for developing innovative consumer products across several industries, has announced the release of its newest product, the StreamWorks Aluminum Pliers with HubLight – the first of its kind in the fishing industry. The Aluminum Pliers with HubLight is the latest in a robust line-up of more than 125 unique SPG products renowned for their “Simply Smarter” design and functionality. The pliers will be on-hand at Booth 610 of the Fly Fishing Retailer show in Denver on September 10-12, 2009.
“With the new Aluminum Pliers with HubLight, we took the common problem of fishing in low-light conditions and adapted a simple solution that makes fishing easier and more enjoyable,” said SPG Co-founder and CEO Bill Brauner. “We’re always looking to create ‘Simply Smarter’ products that bring solutions to problems we regularly encounter while on the river or outdoors.”
The new Aluminum Pliers with HubLight are rust-proof, feature SPG’s patented Hub-Lightä and are designed to perform in low light and extreme environments. The Hub-Lightä beam rotates with the pliers’ jaws so the user never loses the illumination point – a key feature especially for those early dawn and late twilight outings. The Hub-Lightä provides white LED, is completely sealed, and uses easy-to-find hearing aid batteries.
Designed to last a lifetime, other features of the Aluminum Pliers with HubLight include an ergonomic design to maximize clamping pressure while reducing hand fatigue; non-slip rubber grips for added comfort; replaceable diamond-hard tungsten carbide jaws that can quickly and evenly shear cable, braided line, wire and even 6x monofilament without leaving an edge; and an all-weather cordura case with coiled lanyard.
StreamWorks patented Aluminum Pliers with HubLight retails for $129.98 and will be available at better grade fishing retailers starting February 1, 2010. StreamWorks products are widely available to anglers and outdoor enthusiasts in many of the world’s top outdoor retail outlets, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Sport Chalet, Bass Pro, Cabela’s, and hundreds of highly regarded independent fly shops and bait and tackle stores.
StreamWorks was co-founded in 2003 by anglers and outdoor enthusiasts Bill Brauner and Jim Duffy to manufacture and distribute a line of fly fishing accessory products that Brauner and Duffy had created. Recognizing that many of their innovations would serve larger markets as well, StreamWorks quickly adapted and patented its technologies and now manufactures products under the following associated brands: StreamWorks fishing products; PlugsSafetyä hearing protection products; Hub-Light lighted tools; and Hattailâ and Brewskyâ specialty headwear.
