The CEO of the world’s largest jeans maker — VF corporation — mentions Orvis as a possible acquisition target in Forbes this morning. “[Mackey] McDonald won’t comment on Eddie Bauer, which is up for sale, but mentions hunting-and-fly-fishing supplier Orvis, which also makes clothes. ‘It may not be fashionable to some, but it will be to others,’ says McDonald.” Article by Suzanne Hoppough.
