We’ve covered a few lightning-strike stories over the years, including the one where three fly fishers survived a strike in Montana’s Paradise Valley, and another showing what a fly rod looks like after being struck by a bolt. But graphic proof of how dangerous a lightning strike can be comes from The Sun, where a reporter describes how angler Brad Gifford survived a strike while taking shelter under a tree during a dog walk. If the description doesn’t scare you, the picture will.
