The Orvis Company Celebrates Motherhood and the Outdoors

WHAT: In advance of Mother’s Day, Orvis, the premier outfitter of the outdoor lifestyle, celebrates the journey of motherhood with new #LongLiveMoms campaign. Motherhood is a journey and each generation brings their own perspective, energy and twist to it, but all possess a deep desire to share the thrill and experience of what it means to be alive with their children. For many moms, that includes celebrating the moment they introduced their kids to the adventure and wonder of the natural world. At Orvis, we honor the journey, applaud the outdoor adventure and celebrate the memories with mom that will last a lifetime. The #LongLiveMoms video features Els Van Woert and her daughter Pippa of the Perkins family (the Perkins family has privately owned Orvis since 1965) taking part in a mother/daughter outdoor adventure. To celebrate moms everywhere and the importance of enjoying the outdoors for years to come, consumers are encouraged to share the videoand include #LongLiveMoms to trigger a $1 donation to Casting for Recovery, a unique program that combines breast cancer education and support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.
