- Lesions, similar to those found on fish in the Gulf after the BP oil spill, have now been discovered on fish living downstream of the oil sands of Alberta, Canada. Ecologist David Schindler of the University of Alberta warns of the dangers present, and calls for Canada to take the lead in studying the effects of oil contamination on fish.
