Duke's owners are surely thanking their lucky stars they made the decision to adopt a shelter dog six years ago. The little hero awakened the Connecticut couple the night of October 7th by shaking uncontrollably on their bed. Since Duke is always well-behaved and had never done anything like this, it signaled that something was wrong.
Indeed, when the couple went to check on their six-week-old daughter Harper, they found she was not breathing. They immediately called 911, and paramedics revived the infant. It is truly amazing what dogs can sense. This is a good reminder to listen when they're trying to tell us something. Read the full story here.
