From OWAA: Time after time, surveys of OWAA members have shown that the annual Excellence in Craft contests are among the greatest benefits of this organization. The contest provides a great opportunity for members to be recognized for their work, and to collect cash prizes for that recognition.
The contest wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of volunteer judges. In recent weeks many of you have stepped up to help, something plenty of you do year after year. Thanks!
The slate of judges is almost complete but we still have a few more openings. Who out there would be willing to lend a hand?
Judging does take some time, sure, but not a lot. Importantly, this is time spent doing something we all do plenty of already — enjoying great outdoor writing!
You can serve as a judge even if you have entered the contests and in that case will just be assigned a contest or category you did not enter. If you’re interested, please email me at mark.taylor@tu.org and we’ll find a slot for you.
Thanks in advance,
Mark Taylor
