A refreshing bit of journalism from Shauna Stephenson on NewWest.com describes a recent encounter with a midstream moose on the North Platte.
“I’m not sure there’s any good way to get a drift boat around a moose intent on hogging the majority of a shallow river channel. Go behind and you run the risk of getting shanked by the beast.”
