Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures is pleased to announce that world-renown traveling anglers Oliver White and Jeff Currier have signed a formal deal with the company as international travel ambassadors for Yellow Dog. In addition to hosting trips, working with Yellow Dog clients, assisting with consumer shows and events, and promoting Yellow Dog’s full range of offerings, White and Currier will also serve in an advisory capacity, helping to develop new destination offerings, evaluating existing offerings and working with the Yellow Dog team on expanding the company’s services.
Oliver White (www.oliverwhitefishing.com) has been the subject of numerous magazine stories, including a 2012 multi-page spread in Forbes and an upcoming feature in Men’s Journal. In addition to overseeing the operations as a founding partner in Abaco Lodge on Abaco and Bair’s Lodge on South Andros in the Bahamas, he regularly leads fishing trips all over the world, including expeditions to Guyana, where he helped to set up an Arapaima fishing program in the village of Rewa. Along with three friends and the backing of Costa Del Mar, Oliver helped the villagers set up a fly-fishing-only preserve with accommodations and guides who know how to catch, release, and protect the giant dinosaur fish that provided the basis for a new tourism industry deep in the jungle. Currently Oliver is working on his first book with Stonefly Press, cranking out a few articles, and still finding time to live the dream.
Jeff Currier (www.jeffcurrier.com) and his wife Yvonne reside in Victor, Idaho, the home-base of Jeff’s globe-trotting fly fishing career and business. Jeff is an active fly fishing lecturer, published author, a well-known fish artist, and the subject of numerous films, articles and media projects. Over the past 25 years, Jeff has taught fly fishing, guided fly fishers throughout Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park and escorted anglers throughout six continents for many of the greatest game fish on Earth. He is constantly traveling and developing new techniques for catching the most exotic fish imaginable in places where even the most avid adventurers are hesitant to go. Jeff is an IGFA World Record holder, National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame Record holder and has fished in over 50 countries throughout the world. To date he has caught over 325 species of fish on the fly.
